Our students would love a working Maytag washing machine but unfortunately right now they are Beyond the Maytag Man. For our bigger families doing wash in jungle camp can be a long tiring process. Here are a few shots of some of our ladies and children doing the wash. The blue tubs are one way of doing wash. They have a handle and a thing you move back and forth to agitate the clothes. It works alright but is nothing like an actual washing machine. Some ladies use a bucket and a plunger. Whatever method our jungle campers have been using they will gladly give that up tomorrow on move down day when it is back to our nice laundry room here on the campus.
