Today was a beautiful day. Since all the kids had off of their jobs (which almost never happens) and it was a holiday, we took off for the beach. We thought it would be really busy but it really wasn't bad. The football and the lawn bowling helped add enjoyment to our beach time. The water is usually pretty cold but it wasn't bad, so most of us spent time in the water. Titus spent almost all his time in the water. Although we did put on sun screen we all came home with enough sun. I think some family members will be hurting tonight. It isn't too often we can enjoy the beach on September 1st. After the beach we did stop in at DQ which is always a special treat. (Yum) Once we got home Vern took three of the boys golfing. (Mondays is half price so that was an extra bonus.) It was a lovely night and the guys came home having enjoyed a great evening together. Everyone was ready for bed early tonight with a day spent outside in the sun.
