Last night Vern and I went on a date. The last thing we did before heading home was to go and see the light display. We were in a town about 45 minutes away and every year they have a light display that they call "The Festival Of Northern Lights". I have always enjoyed looking at Christmas lights. When I was a child a family outing we would do every December was to all pile in the car and drive around to look at Christmas lights. There was this area in Chicago that was called "Candy Cane Lane". It was streets and streets of houses with amazing light displays. I have tried with not much success to get my children to enjoy this same Christmas activity. I know my children were thrilled that their dad was adding this to part of our date so that I would not drag them with this year. It is of course a bit chilly walking around looking at the lights but Vern had a coffee and I a hot chocolate and it was a perfect evening. I hadn't seen this light display for a couple of years so it was fun to make it back up there to see them.

ooo cool! I love looking at Christmas lights too! we used to have that family tradition also of piling into the car and driving around our town in AR to look at Christmas lights. It was always so much fun! I miss doing that :P I'm glad you and Mr. Dyck got to go see the lights! They look beautiful! :D And cute pic of you two! :)
