As the time draws closer to "Jungle Camp" we find ourselves busily planning for our time in the bush. The past couple of nights the kitchen has been a busy place as meat is being pressure canned. It sure heats things up! Canned meat might sound unappetizing but it actually is quite tasty. The other night Sherry & Erin, two of our student ladies, came up to use our kitchen to do their canning. They have one of our older apartments that doesn't have running water. (It is so much nicer to have running water when you are canning.) Since we are back to being a family of six "healthy" eaters (smile) and we will also have in a lot of company, I will be doing quite a bit of canning in the next couple of days. So far everything has sealed properly. YEA!
