Home Stretch

At the end of last week the kids got their report cards so they only have eight more weeks of school left. The kids did well in their classes and we are proud of how hard they are working. Thanks so much for your prayers for Ruth. It was a hard quarter on her physically with her mono. However, she has pushed herself and is now caught up in all of her classes but one. She still has a long way to go on her recovery but we are thankful that she was able to return to school again. All that said, both the kids will be looking forward to the summer break.

Back to the Books

Today was Ruth's first day of school after a three week absence. She was exhausted when she came home from school this afternoon. She is still not feeling well so we would appreciate your prayers for her that her body will continue to heal. We are exploring all sorts of vitamins and natural ways of boosting her immune system.

Book Burning Ceremony

What would the end of the school year be without a book burning ceremony? The kids enjoy seeing all their used workbooks going up in flames. (HE , HE) They take great pleasure in ripping out the workbook pages and throwing them into the blazing fire. (Maybe not so blazing.) Some how it makes it feel a little bit more like the school year is officially over.
