Full House

Zachary, Ruth, and I went to a city about 75 minutes away to pick up Vern from the airport. He was out in B.C. visiting his parents and our home church. I am really glad he was able to make the trip out there and I would have loved to join him. However, it is nice to have him home again.

The Journey Has Begun

I just got back from the airport a few minutes ago. I checked in and Vern's flight has taken off. This time he was able to get a direct flight so that is very nice. He will be arrived quite late and will leave early tomorrow morning for the next leg of his journey. Please be praying for safety as he travels. Thanks!

Home Again

Vern made it hone from his trip to England. It was a long day of traveling and this morning he was feeling a bit of jet lag since he was off this morning to a seminar our church is holding. He didn't bring back any souvenirs, however, he did bring us some "Fine Chocolate". And since are are chocoholics we will all enjoy the treat. It is good to have him home again. We enjoyed connecting as a family as we sat around last night as each shared highlights of our week and Vern filled us in on all the cultural things he did and saw while he was in England.

Crossing the Atlantic

I just got home from taking Vern and two of our coworkers to the Toronto airport as they are on their way to England for a conference. It will be a full week of meetings for them, however, they will be taking in a soccer game while they are there. That will be a cool cultural event since soccer is quite a bit more popular over there then it is in North America.

He's Leaving on a Jet Plane

Vern got up and left early this morning for Mexico. He will be attending an International Trainers Forum for New Tribes Missionaries that work in the different training Centers around the world. He went last year and found it to be very profitable. Neither of us has been to Mexico so it will be fun to be in another Spanish speaking country. We also have some good friends in Mexico so it will be nice for Vern to connect with them again. ¡Buen viaje!

How Does Your Family Mark the Official Start of Spring?

So, how does your family mark the official start of spring? Is it when March 20th arrives, or is it when you can see more grass then snow, or is it when you see the tulips popping their heads up, or when you can finally be outside without your winter jacket? Well in our family we mark the official start to spring when the motorcycle is out of storage and on the road for the first time. So yes, today was the official start of spring as the motorcycle came out of "hibernation". Titus enjoyed getting a ride to his piano lesson on the motorcycle and Vern and I took a quick little ride before supper. YES! SPRING HAS ARRIVED!!! (Thanks again Greg, for giving the bike a face lift, the paint job looks great!)

What's new with Vern and Holly
