While we were out in the woods enjoying some great time with friends, there was a tree that someone had put a smile on. I thought I would share a smile with you and hopefully by now you are smiling as well. Smile! It’s contagious!

Smile! It's Contagious!

Touched by an Angel

Thanks so much for your prayers for our travels. As we have continued on our trip it became evident that we were going to have to get our van checked out. We found out that the computer was going. Space does not allow to give all the details of how things went down but the van is now fixed and we feel like we have been touched by an angel. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!!!

From The Great White North
Yesterday we visited some dear friends. We had a precious time together. We feel blessed to have them as friends. These dear people have touched many people's lives. They spent some time in Northern Canada. Mary Ann was teaching in a First Nations school and Hank worked at the airport and had a couple of different jobs. They had many interesting experiences and acquired some cool wall hanging. I thought maybe you would enjoy seeing some of them. Hank is holding a polar bear skull. And those five furs are different foxes. Thanks Hank and Mary Ann for a wonderful evening!
Faith of Our Fathers
The Dyck family has quite a Christian heritage of grandparents who knew and loved the Lord. And I believe many of their prayers have been answered in most of their children and grandchildren also having a personal relationship with the Lord. Unfortunately, Vern only met one of his grandparents and the others died before he was born or died when he was a toddler. One of our "field trips" yesterday was to go to Vern's grandparents' farm. A cousin now lives there and farms the land. An aunt gave Ruth and I a guided tour of the place sharing different memories she had of growing up there. I was so happy Ruth and Titus were there with us for them to have this memory and hear a bit of their family history. Vern and Titus got the tour from his uncle and cousin's prospective. Thanks so much Charles for welcoming us and sharing a bit of history with us! (Titus' highlight was visiting another cousin's farm and being able to drive an ATV.)

Are We There Yet?
Right now we are in Minnesota and we will be heading up to Manitoba today. So we will be seeing many of you in the next couple of days. When we left Chicago yesterday morning one of the "Check Engine" lights went on. Right before we left it became apparent that we are having transmission trouble. We would appreciate your prayers for us as we travel. We would REALLY like to make it to B.C. before we get the whole thing serviced. Just thought I would show you a few pictures of the lighter side of our trip thus far. And, YES, since we were driving right by we did spend a couple of hours at the "Mall of America".

ROAD TRIP
Today we are leaving for a road trip across Canada. There is no normal furlough time worked into our schedule here and so we will be taking some weeks to connect with many of YOU our dear family, friends, and supporters who are standing behind us in our ministry. We are REALLY looking forward to seeing you and spending some time with you. We will also be able to spend some time in our churches in B.C. that have been a part of our ministry. (We can't wait to see you!) We have MANY miles to travel and we would appreciate your prayers for safety on the roads.
