That Was One LONG Day

Yesterday was a VERY long day. It seemed like we went from waiting in a line at the ticket counter, to security checks, to immigration, to a waiting room, to a plane and then back through the whole process again. Although we made it to our final destination in one piece with all of our luggage we have never stood in waiting lines and run from one end of the airport to another, like we did yesterday. (The exercise was good though.) It was VERY painful to leave the warm weather behind and arrive back to the land of snow. Since we didn't have our jackets it was a bit chilly waiting for our shuttle bus last night. But it was so nice when we jumped into bed and we were almost home.

ARRIVED

We arrived safely with all our luggage. Thanks so much for your prayers. We will be taking off any minute for a five-seven hour road trip.

Ground Hog Day

We don't know what "Wiarton Willie" predicted about an early spring. But since we are going to be enjoying some warmth for the next month we will be able to handle a long winter if that is what happens. Here are some of our shots of how we spent Ground Hog Day. (The one with the wing of the airplane is of our plane being deiced.)

Canceled

That's right we are snowed in here in Toronto. Our flight was canceled and there is no leaving today. We have rebooked for about 6:30 a.m. We would appreciate your prayers that we can indeed leave tomorrow morning. We are very thankful for some dear folks (our pastor's sister and husband) who have opened up their home to us and are even willing to take us to the airport at 4:00 a.m. We didn't even know them but they have rolled out the red carpet and made us feel right at home. What a blessing!

Change of Plans

We got a phone call this afternoon from our pastor who is taking us to the airport. He wondered if we had heard the weather report of the big snow storm that was headed this way. So one thing lead to another and now we will be leaving tonight in about 15 minutes. We didn't want to wake up tomorrow morning and find out that the roads in and out of town were closed. We would appreciate your prayers for us as we head out. We are hoping the storm will not cause our plane to be delayed or canceled. Please also be praying for our children who are left behind. Thanks!
