People You Should Know

We have had the privilege once again to serve and rub shoulders with some people who are very special to us. These three couples have servants hearts and are touching lives for eternity. They all have different gifts that the Lord uses to help and encourage the church along. It has been such a joy to spend time with these dear, dear couples.

Thanks Doug and Pat!

On the path of life we have the priviege of meeting some really neat people. This is Doug and Pat who gave us food and shelter during our snow storm. However, they did so much more. It was like a breath of fresh air to spend the day with them. Thanks Doug and Pat. Keep making a difference in this world!

Moving On

The nature of our job and ministry invovles getting to know many different people and developing some deep friendships. It is always so exciting to see our students leaving here and seeing how God uses them all over the world. But it is also makes the heart ache as we see good friends leave and we don't know if our paths will cross again. However, we also feel blessed that our paths did cross even if only for a year or two. Today we said good-bye to Sherry, one of our students who is going to be moving into a ministry in the training program in the States. We know Sherry will be such a blessing as she moves on to where God is directing. Sherry enjoy all God has for you, we will miss you! ( We have a few more months before we have to say some other hard good-byes. But it will see other moving on to where God leads them.)

Happy 93 rd Birthday Grandma!

On Saturday it was my grandmother's 93rd Birthday. It was also my brother Dan Ron's 17th birthday. It was so nice to be able to celebrate their special day with them. It's been so AWESOME to have a grandmother who has been so involved in my life and who has showered me with her love, support, prayers, and words of wisdom.

Shane and Karen

Here at the Training Center we have the privilege of getting to know a lot of people that come through here. Once couple is Shane and Karen Whatley. They were students our first year here and after their training they became part of the staff. They are such a neat couple and it has been such a joy to have them here and a part of the training staff. They are now enroute to Indonesia as they will be flying out in a couple of days. They came over for supper tonight and we were able to have one last visit with them. We are so excited for them. They will be such a blessing and help on the mission field. We'll miss you Shane and Karen!

A Bit of History

This week we have a very dear couple here on the campus. Les & Lorraine Peterson have been missionaries with the mission since a year after the mission began. Therefore they knew personally all the leaders that started the mission and were involved in some of those beginning events. They have been sharing every day in the first year class and have been in our homes for meals. We all have our own stories of how we have seen God faithful in our lives but we have really enjoyed hearing from Les and Lorraine of just a little of their story and how God brought them through many difficult situations. If you would talk to Les he would tell you how God uses ordinary people to do His work. Praise the Lord for that, because we are all just ordinary people!
