Scratch Week Pot Luck

Tonight we celebrated the end of our scratch week with a pot luck of all sorts of home made dishes. Since most of our students don't have running water in their apartments, one of the hardest things was all the dishes that mount up when cooking from scratch. Other then that it seems like everyone felt they ate good. A couple of people felt like they gained a few pounds during the week with all the good food. Although it was a good experience, I think our students are looking forward to using their electrical appliances again and being able to eat
"normally" again.

Scratch Week Pot Luck

This past Friday was the last day of our scratch week cooking. To celebrate we always end the week off by having a pot luck. As you can see we had LOTS of great food. And if you have a sweet tooth like I do, you would have loved the dessert bar. There were so many yummy pies and squares. Needless to say I think we all left every full. I believe scratch week was a success!
