Better Late Then Never

Last night at supper we had our belated birthday celebration for Zachary. It was so nice to be together as a family again. We served Zachary's favorite meal and Ruth made an very yummy cake.

Twenty years ago our third son Zachary entered our family. He was our first child born in Venezuela. Since I was not fluent in Spanish and Vern was not allowed into the delivery room it was a bit of a scary experience. We are thankful that all went well and the Lord blessed us with a healthy little baby who has grown into a wonderful young man. Zachary, we love you and are so privileged to have you in our family. You have had that all important role of being the "middle child". It's a big responsibility but thanks for taking that on your shoulder. (smile) Have a very Happy Birthday. We sure wish we could be there to help you celebrate. Know that we are thinking of you!
