Seth and Zachary made it home after driving all night

Seth and Zachary made it home on the Dec. 23rd after driving all night. They caught up on their sleep for a few days afterwards.

Caleb and Ruth

Ruth really misses her older brothers and couldn't wait for them to get home for Christmas. Caleb was the first one to make it home. She loved just hanging out and connecting with him. She was working a lot during the Christmas break so she didn't see her brothers as much as she would have liked.

The Christmas Recital

Vern, Ruth, & Titus all played at a Christmas recital at their music teachers house. It was a special treat for Mom and Dad to be able to come since they are both very musical and Mom taught piano lessons for many years!

Making Sausage

One family tradition that we did in Venezuela was to make our own sausage. Vern worked on building a smoke house this summer. So with the kids coming home it was a good time to have some fun making sausage. Yum, YUM!

Christmas parade

We went to a Christmas parade with Mom and Dad. It was cold but we had a good time watching all the horses. This was a parade that had no cars in it just horses. I would like to go again next year.

Christmas concert

Vern and Ruth had many practice sessions preparing to play for the Christmas concert in town. They made a special memory together.

My birthday

Ruth gave me a chocolate fondue fountain for my birthday. We had so much fun enjoying dipping all that fruit into the chocolate and eating it. Vern gave me a beautiful clock that chimes. I love musical clocks!

The Fam Thanksgiving Day 2006

I have wanted to get going on this for a long time. Our daughter-in-law Kristina was so great in getting me set up but I haven't had the time to post anything. So I will try to post some pictures of the last couple of months and see how things go.
